Making bigger differences

Members of the Equinox team will be hosting a panel discussion as part of the University of Oxford’s Public and Community Engagement with Research (PCER) Conference on Thursday 11 June 2026.

They will be joined by organisations from across Oxfordshire to explore the emerging themes arising from the Equinox community consultation and provide insight into the opportunities and challenges that can arise from community engagement with innovation.

The session is part of a lively one-day event which brings together researchers, professional staff, community partners and anyone interested in public and community engagement with research.

The conference is open to University of Oxford members, as well as the wider public, including community organisations and colleagues from other universities.

Explore how responsible engagement can drive meaningful impact and make bigger differences, with sessions organised around three themes:

  • Building responsible, trust-centred engagement and knowledge exchange

  • Strengthening connections, collaboration and infrastructure for impact

  • Engaging for shared learning, inclusion and local impact

Hear inspiring stories, exchange learning and ideas and build connections. Whether you’re experienced in engagement or just starting out, the conference will offer fresh insights and opportunities to grow your network.

The full programme will be announced in mid-April.
